Haugalandspakken has a fully automated toll plaza system, which means there are no coin slots or manual service. Drive through the toll plazas without stopping.

Persons who live here on a permanent basis use an onboard unit (tag) attached to the inside of their windscreen. The tag is automatically registered when they pass through the plazas. This system is called AutoPASS.

As a tourist you will probably pass the plazas just a couple of times and therefore getting this tag isn’t relevant. You have two different alternatives of payment:

1) Invoice per mail

If you pass without a tag, the numberplate is photographed and registered. An invoice is sent by mail to your regular address, at no extra charge.

 2) Cash payment at service stations

You may pay at a local service station. Your passing will then be deleted, and no invoice will be sent.

 Further information

If you plan to stay in the Haugesund area for a longer period of time you might want to get this onboard unit. The tag can be obtained at the service stations or at www.brotunnel.no (Registration information in Norwegian only). There is a deposit of NOK 200, which is added to the first invoice. It is possible to have two cars on the same subscription.
